Kate Moss Launches TOPSHOP Collection in Oxford Circus

Monday, April 30th, 2007

Stunning supermodel Kate Moss now 33 has been working closely with TOPSHOP to create a new summer collection for their stores. The clothes go on sale tomorrow and it is rumoured that Kate will be making an appearance at the Oxford Circus store posing as a mannequin in the shop window.

Kate Moss and Topshop

She was paid £3 million for the range that prominently features her trademark skinny jeans and hot pants. She has some really great designs but the clothes will retail for slightly more than other similar TOPSHOP products. For a sneak preview see the Kate Moss TOPSHOP website.

If you manage to get down to Oxford Circus tomorrow to see the launch let us know if the rumours were true!

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Eat London
Shortbread roads, Victoria sponge buildings, sugar cube sculptures and bagel towers. Has Britain gone completely insane?

If you’re out and about in London tomorrow try and head down to Trafalgar Square where the ‘Eat London’ event will be taking place. Buckingham Palace, The Imperial War Museum, The Lloyds Tower and many more buildings from Hyde Park to Tower Bridge will be included. All buildings, roads and vehicles will be made entirely of food – surely a sight worth capturing!

Eat London is taking place tomorrow (28th April) from 12.30pm to 4.00pm. Definitely a must if you are in London already. Further event details can be found at Lift.

Justin Timberlake Waxwork

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Experts at Madame Tussauds have spent the last four months creating a waxwork model of US singer Justin Timberlake, and he’s proven to be a hit with the ladies already!

Apparently a Saville Row tailor was bought in to create a bespoke white suit for the star, and Justin is reported to have been involved in the waxwork, helping to achieve the right look.

Justin Begins his UK tour tomorrow, but if you want to get up close and personal with him this weekend perhaps a visit to Madame Tussauds is in order! It’s probably as close to the real thing any of us will ever get … unfortunately.

Spiderman 3 Film Premiere at The Odeon

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

The much awaited Spiderman 3 premiere will take place this evening at the Odeon in Leicester Square. Stars of the film Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are expected to be there alongside many other big celebrity names. They attended the Tokyo premiere last week and were greeted by hundreds of screaming fans as they walked down the red carpet. The US will be holding theirs on the 30th April in New York which is unusual because they normally host premieres before the UK.

Spiderman 3 is rumoured to be the final chapter of the Spiderman series and introduces two new villains known as Sandman and Venom. I have to admit I am quite a Spiderman fan and am definitely looking forward to seeing the film. Check out the trailer above to see what adventures we’re in for this time.

Hamley’s Mad Hatter Tea Parties

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Hamley’s LogoIf you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids over the Easter holidays then Hamley’s might have something that could interest you. The London toy shop is hosting Mad Hatter’s Tea Parties every day (except Easter Sunday) from today until 15th April.

The parties start at 3pm and cost £16 per ticket and only children are able to attend. They involve the children in egg decorating and offer a spread of food including sandwiches and chocolate cakes. They are also holding a carrot hunt which doesn’t sound quite as appealing as a chocolate egg hunt but whoever finds the golden carrot will enter a prize draw with the opportunity to wine £250 gift vouchers.

Give Hamley’s a call on 0800 2802 444 for more information about these events.
