Fame Returns To The West End 8th May

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

Fame The MusicalAs a young girl I remember going to see Fame and loving every second of it – I can still remember the song, “FAME, I’m gonna live forever, I’m gonna learn how to fly…HIGH!” – or something like that anyway! The musical is returning to the West End on 8th May and this is definitely on my list of things to do this summer. Bookings are being taken up until 1st September.

Fame is a musical production following a group of young students in their quest for success, and also their struggles with relationships and teenage romance. Set in New York’s High School for the Performing Arts, the musical will make you want to jump up on stage with them and sing your heart out! Box Office prices are £17.50 - £55.00.

London Brit Awards 2007

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

Brit Awards LogoI know it was Valentine’s Day yesterday and I’m sure you were all out enjoying yourselves with your partners but you must have got back in time for the Brit Awards. I certainly did and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating an evening of British culture and music.

Is it me or have we picked up some seriously brilliant bands in the last few years, The Kooks, The Feeling, Snow Patrol, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Scissor Sisters and these are just a few of the great ones. Even British solo artists have become more recognised this year especially females such as Lily Allen, Corinne Bailey Rae and Amy Winehouse. Got to say I’m loving James Morrison as well.

As a huge Take That fan I was so pleased they took home the award for best single. To be honest I thought Snow Patrol were going to nip that one with ‘Chasing Cars’ as that was definitely my favourite song of 2006. However the Take That boys did deserve it since ‘Patience’ stormed in at number 1.

Thanks to Russel Brand and a great venue at Earls Court the ceremony went off with a bang and celebrated some great British talent of the last year. Check out the Brits Official Website for more information.
