The most beautiful outdoor ice rink in London is back again for another year. Tiffany & Co. presents Skate at Somerset House. From the 21st of November 2007 to the 28th of January 2008 you can enjoy ice skating in cosmopolitan London.

Are you taking place in the London to Paris bike ride? If so, we wish you the very best of luck and salute you for your involvement! For those of you who are unaware of the charity fundraiser you could still take part in the cycle, however you’ll have to be pretty fit already as it starts on the 26th July and goes on for three days. Fundraisers will cycle for 60-90 miles a day stopping off at traditional hotels on the way.

Whether you’re 18 or 80 you can take part in this event and money raised will help the lives of thousands of people. At the end of the bike ride there will be a celebration in Paris and a chance to catch the end of the Tour de France.

A great charity to be involved with is The Big Issue Foundation to help people in England that are homeless and in poor accommodation. Wimbledon 2007 is due to begin on Monday 25th June at The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. The tournament usually attracts an audience of about 500,000; let’s just hope the weather holds up for the players and the spectators this year! The competition ends on Sunday 8th July.

Professional Tennis players from over 60 countries will be involved in the tournament and with prize money for male and female singles of £3,727,400 it’s not surprising so many people be part of the competition!

This is quite possibly the strangest race I have ever heard of, even stranger than the classic tale of the hare and the tortoise! However, if you want to see pigs racing camels then you can at Kempton Park Racecourse on the 6th June.

There will of course still be horse racing but when they have finished two races consisting of pigs and camels will take place. The camels will be ridden by some of Britain’s leading jockey’s and the night is set to be great entertainment.

Gates open at 5pm and the first horse race will begin at 7pm, the pigs and camels will race at the end of the evening and all will be finished at 11pm. Tickets prices start from £15 or for £16 you can book a Wednesday Winner ticket entitling you to a free drink, race-card and bet. If you want to go the whole hog then for £65 you book a table in the Panoramic Restaurant for the evening.

The Flora London Marathon is set to take place on Sunday 22nd April from 9am onwards and is expected to entice a record number of runners and spectators. Since the first marathon in 1981 over £200 million has been raised for world wide charities with over 75% running for a cause that has affected them or someone they know.

Thousands will treck the streets of London; the images most people enjoy are the thousands of fundraisers dressed up as animals, mascots and in many other hilarious costumes.
