Are you taking place in the London to Paris bike ride? If so, we wish you the very best of luck and salute you for your involvement! For those of you who are unaware of the charity fundraiser you could still take part in the cycle, however you’ll have to be pretty fit already as it starts on the 26th July and goes on for three days. Fundraisers will cycle for 60-90 miles a day stopping off at traditional hotels on the way.

Whether you’re 18 or 80 you can take part in this event and money raised will help the lives of thousands of people. At the end of the bike ride there will be a celebration in Paris and a chance to catch the end of the Tour de France.

A great charity to be involved with is The Big Issue Foundation to help people in England that are homeless and in poor accommodation. It costs £99 to register and you will need to raise sponsorship of at least £1200. For more information call 0207 526 3456 or visit The Big Issue Foundation online.

The Flora London Marathon is set to take place on Sunday 22nd April from 9am onwards and is expected to entice a record number of runners and spectators. Since the first marathon in 1981 over £200 million has been raised for world wide charities with over 75% running for a cause that has affected them or someone they know.

Thousands will treck the streets of London; the images most people enjoy are the thousands of fundraisers dressed up as animals, mascots and in many other hilarious costumes. If you would like to apply for the 2008 marathon there is more information about the event on the Official Flora London Marathon Website.
